NSE and BSE
India's two main stock exchanges, where listed shares trade.
The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) was founded in 1875 and is Asia's oldest. The National Stock Exchange (NSE) launched in 1994 and now handles the bulk of equity and derivatives trading by volume. The Sensex (BSE) tracks 30 companies; the Nifty 50 (NSE) tracks 50. Most stocks are listed on both. Your broker routes the order to whichever exchange offers the better price at that moment, you do not need to choose.
